PROMISING NEW MEMBER

New member, Luke Baker, joined the Natives Club at the end of October and
in just a few short weeks he is already showing good skills in TR and his
scores are gradually improving.  If enthusiasm and commitment are any indication,
Luke will be shaking up C Grade next year!

Welcome to the Natives Rifle Club, Luke.

Good shooting in 2014

Belmont Rifle Range Open Day

The Queensland Rifle Association held a very successful Open Day for the pubic
on Sunday, October 6th.

Volunteers from several clubs, including a good number from the Natives Club, attended to provide an insight into our sport
for members of the public who came along to get a "look behind the scenes" at the Belmont Range.

Don also won the 2nd Stage Aggregate shot over 800, 900 & 1000 yards with a possible 150 points.
This win was even more meritorious when it is realised that Don knew he needed a possible 50 points at 1000 yards to win the Grand Aggregate.

Congratulations Don on some very fine shooting.

This is the second consecutive year that a Natives Club member has won this trophy.

WELL DONE, JOHN

EASTER BUNNY ONE DAY -

ANOTHER KIND OF BUNNY THE NEXT!

Yep - it's broken at the wrist!

Wendy Latham took a tumble on Mt Coolum on the Sunshine Coast while training for a proposed walk of the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
Looks like that arm is going to put her out of business for a while and relieve some of the pressure off the A Grade shooters!

JOHN CASKE WINS BADGES IN TASMANIA

John Caske of the Natives Rifle Club continued his great shooting form of late to win badges in each of the major aggregates at the Tasmanian Queens
fired at the Campbelltown range from March 7 to March 11, 2013.

CROWS NEST PRIZE MEETING

F-CLASS TYROS GET THE TASTE OF PRIZE MEETING COMPETITION AT CROWS NEST

Natives Club member, Emile Daniel, finished second in F-Class Standard and won the second 500 yards match with a fine 60.6.

But the highlight of the day for the Natives Club was the fact that relatively new F-Class members, George Constantinou and David Warland,
attended their first Prize Meeting and gained valuable experience and absorbed the competition atmosphere.

They came away with a great enthusiasm to attend future similar events.

This is what introducing new shooters to our sport is all about.  Go for it George and David!

Emile Daniel points to his second place in F-Class Standard at Crows Nest.  Well done, Emile.

Left to Right:  David Warland and George Constantinou are justifiably pleased with their first Prize Meeting efforts.

They have now got the taste of open competition, so look out F-Class, the Natives are coming!
